Chalking it up!

I'm REALLY trying to re-invent the way I use old whittle down that stash and enjoy being creative in the process! Next up, CHALKS!

With this layout, I had fun bordering and detailing the lovely Karen Russell background paper with some saffron and teal chalks.

After using a brown marker to mimic the die-cut perimeter, I "q-tipped" the chalk around the edges, and added some to the image details as well. The result is, I think, warm and cozy, and adds great dimension to the overall layout!

And it made me happy to dust off those chalks and get some fresh, new use out of them. :)

  1. I always love your designs! Do you use chalk on its side for the edges?
