Urban Anthology September Kit Goodness!

This month's kit at Urban Anthology has a great
primary colors/school/travel feel...I'm having so
much fun with the color palette that is out of my norm!




The kit includes Core'dinations cardstock, which is SO much fun to sand and distress!
With this layout, I wanted a messy/crafty/childlike feel. I used a package of Prima E. bling, under the cardstock, to sand the rows of dots. Another fave part of this layout for me is the Sass Monstrosity alpha paper border...LOVE that alpha paper, need more! :)





To finish off the layout, I shimmered it up with some Shimmerz paint in Pixie Dust...can't get enough of that either!

Stamping Your Title

Today I worked with a DARLING tiny alphabet stamp set from Pink Persimmon, on a layout documenting our ADDICTION to Bubble Tea! Seriously, have you tried that stuff?! I'm hooked.

I used it to stamp my title with black Stazon ink, then filled in the detail with Spica glitter pens from Copic...I love the result! :)

Chalking it up!

I'm REALLY trying to re-invent the way I use old supplies...to whittle down that stash and enjoy being creative in the process! Next up, CHALKS!



With this layout, I had fun bordering and detailing the lovely Karen Russell background paper with some saffron and teal chalks.

After using a brown marker to mimic the die-cut perimeter, I "q-tipped" the chalk around the edges, and added some to the image details as well. The result is, I think, warm and cozy, and adds great dimension to the overall layout!

And it made me happy to dust off those chalks and get some fresh, new use out of them. :)

Here's a fun project using stamps, patterned paper, and repetition! I created this layout using stamps from Autumn Leaves and Stampin' Up, and kit paper from Urban Anthology's July and August kits. Here's how:
