A Stash Sketch with a little Sass!

Ok, here's a fab sketch from Your Scrapbook Stash, created by Liz Chidester:



And here's my take, using some awesome new Sassafras products:




I LOVED the layered circle flowers-with-pins from Liz's sketch, as well as the large circle, and the title cluster at the top left.

I made my circle with some mists, circle masks, and the bubble-packaging from a box of chocolates:



Then I tried out these spiral-circle flowers, edging them with a glitter Copic:

Chillin' with some Cosmo from The Stash!

Last month I was SO excited to win a challenge at Your Scrapbook Stash.



I was THRILLED when the SWEET prize package arrived, and contained (among other awesome products) the new Cosmo Cricket Material Girl collection!!!









Had such fun making these flowers, cutting out the gorgeous vintage fashion paper, and adding, of course, a little misting with my fave Glimmer Mist, Sea Glass.

Fimo Frenzy Pt. 2

Ok, cyberspace (I'm pretty sure that's a lame and outdated internet term?!), I'm back from my scrappy retreat, and am here to post my first project with my beloved clay buttons! :)

Of the 9 layouts I finished at the retreat (yes, I was the slowest scrapper there, hehe), here is one using a button I made inspired by a pair of my daughters gray-with-rainbow socks:





(FYI: for these buttons, I used Premo pearl clay purchased at Michaels, and coated them with a brush-on glossy coat, although a simple spray-on poly or acrylic gloss would be easier)

Fimo Frenzy!!!

Ok, it's official, I'm full on OBSESSED with clay buttons as of NOW! :)
Inspired by blogs like THIS, and window shopping HERE and HERE, I'm really lovin' this handmade look!
Well, my scrappy budget is definitely in the negative right now after splurging on new CHA stuff, and I've been wanting to try my hand at making my own buttons for about 6 months now, SO...the kids and I had a Clay Craft Day, and here is a peek at what I came up with!



To say I had fun making these would be a gross understatement, hehe...the kids and I just played around with the clay for several hours and loved every second of it!! I'm headed out to a weekend retreat now, and I'm DEFINITELY gonna take these and craft my little heart out with them!!! :)

More Product Play...

I couldn't WAIT to get these little mini MR butterflies in my hands, and they didn't disappoint! :)
On this layout, I misted them in Cream Maya Mist, and filled the cut-outs with various monochromatic glitter glues, for a fun stained-glass look...love them here with the MR trinket pins:





Another fave new product line...Lullaby Lane from Webster's Pages...the little fairy/turtle image, the sweet cloud/balloon background paper, and the large heart diecut...such a GREAT, fresh new baby look!

Ahhh, I just love playin' with new stuff, rather than letting it sit in my stash...good times. :)

Diggin' in to the happy new stuff...

I've had some fun digging into ALL the CHA goodness over the past few weeks...some of the first lines I HAD to have were Sassafras' new Nerdy Birdy and Cherry Delicious!!! I mean, come ON, they just make me happy! :)

Love the cheery multi-colored music paper I used here...LOVE, I tell you!
Also had a bit of fun cutting out the "cloud" characters and adding a little detailing to transform them into ice cream cones:



And those new Sass banner stickers? They are awesome, have used them several times so far, GREAT versatility and BANG for your buck.
