Super Snobby September Sneaks!

What?! I can't believe I still haven't fully revealed all my Snobby Walrus La Cote D'Azure projects, with September already creeping up on me!

So...more of the unique FAVES from this kit:



I simply LOVED the AC Zepplyn dimensional stickers in this kit...loved the colors, the clouds, the layering, the balloons, the shimmer...they layered well with the Hambly labels and 7G papers:





The Webster's Pages sparklers are DIVINE and I've gotta get more of those...just the perfect finishing touch. Also loved the fun musically-themed Sass paper whimsies, and LOVE the coral color of that trim! (And the adorable little happy face in the photo, heh)





This last layout was a favorite for me...that Onirie paper with the orange and teal and stripes is so awesome...it was perfect for these just-walked-from-the-beach-to-the-food photos of me scarfing down seafood! :)
I used both Smooch in Ocean Soul (in the kit) and Glimmer Mist in Dragonfly (in the SW store) on this page. The mist has a great shimmer and gorgeous golden-teal color, the Smooch, dripped onto the page straight from the bottle, has an awesome glossy/dimensional look and deep, bold color...love them BOTH!



Finally, with the fabulous chiyogami paper from the kit, I HAD to make these simple origami fishies for this page...something new and I LOVE the result! :)

Next up, these:



Last month at The Color Room, I won the random RAK prize, which ended up being an awesome gift certificate from Up The Street Scrapbooking! I chose some AWESOME embellishments from their online store, and got creating!



They have an awesome selection of Tim Holtz Tissue Tape, which I'm currently obsessed with! I also got some Shimmerz, and some Cosmo Cricket alphabets.



I used papers from My Mind's Eye, (available in the Life's Stories pack at the UTS store), Girls' Paperie (available in their August add-on, Lotza Paper Girlz), and some great Studio Calico and October Afternoon papers (available in their August Project Kit...only ONE left!)



I had fun making a tissue tape border on this next layout, and used both sides of the SC paper for a bold border and some heart accents. UTS kits often feature flashcards from Elle's Studio, so I included one here, from the In The Sea set.



I altered the Jillibean alpha with Shimmerz and Tim Holtz Rock Candy crackle paint...fun fun fun!

Sketch inspiration and Layout Reveal!

I've got a sketch up on the Midnight Rooster blog, along with a layout featuring the awesome new August kit, Sunset's Dusty Trail...so get check it out and play along! :)

And here's the full reveal of my August projects with this kit:

I had fun making some little accent clusters, featuring the GORGEOUS custom pins and the oh-so-soft teeny pom-pom trim. This kit also includes a great little chipboard alpha, that I altered in several ways...on this layout I simply clear-embossed them, which gives them a great dark, glossy look.

This layout features the INCREDIBLY adorable camper/trailer stamp...exclusive to this kit, and SO fun to play with! I stamped in dark brown ink and clear embossed to make these dimensional accents. I also went NUTS with the plain alpha on this one, using robin's egg blue paint, and brown spray ink for a super-cool patina look...SO happy with how it turned out!



I made the little marshmallow accents using the white bag that held the kit's embellishments, by sewing then inking with brown and black inks...come on, they turned out so cute, right?! :)



Next up, a 2-pager about our carnival adventures...it's busy, I know, but I like how it captured the crazy-fun carnival vibe I was going for:



I created the random background with stamps, white paint, and the red Maya Mist included in the kit (which gives the pink circles and red stamped numbers a GREAT shimmer that doesn't show up in the photos!)



This last layout is a simple, neutral one, showcasing a favorite photo of my last little one as an infant:



I dry-embossed the alphas, then misted with Marshmallow glimmer mist...lovin' its soft, simple look.



Lastly, a quick card...used the red Maya Mist again, and pop-dotted a few matching circles with the October Afternoon text paper for fun (chunky red twine not included in kit):

La Cote D'Azure #1

Ok, I'm out for a weekend of outdoor fun with the fam, but before I go I wanted to share my first layout with the GORGEOUS August kit from Snobby Walrus: La Cote D'Azure (ah, that kit NAME?! Are you kidding me? Sends my mind to far-off places of sun, leisure, and the deep blue sea!)

This kit came at a PERFECT time for me, with so many beach vacation photos to scrap...the gorgeous products from Webster's Pages Seaside Retreat and G45 On the Boardwalk, along with some killer Hambly label stickers, and the STUNNING Zazi flowers from Prima, combine to give this page an elegant-but-beachy feel:



I stitched and folded the MME frame on top of the photo to give it a more dimensional look...also, you have GOT to get your hands on Smooch Ink in Ocean Soul and Glimmer Mist in Dragonfly! They added the perfect finishing touch for me on this layout. Can you tell how giddy I get when I work with mists and inks, heh?!



Stay tuned for more La Cote D'Azur creations next week...and also, ALSO, ALSO!!..I *might* be a teensy bit excited that Tattered Angels CHALKBOARD glimmer mists and glimmer GLAM and GLAZES are available NOW at the Snobby Walrus Store!
