It's Birthday Time!


Welcome to the Get Picky 1st Birthday Blog Hop! 

We are celebrating our first year with a very exciting reveal as we unveil our 13th Sketch with you today and share the beautiful creations of both present and past designers from our first year!  Some of the team members will be offering prizes so you will want to visit all of the blogs to increase your chances of winning a prize.  We are also offering a major prize along with the chance at a Guest Designer spot for the month of November if you visit and leave a comment at all of the blogs in our blog hop and participate in Sketch Challenge #13.  The Blog Hop starts today and will remain open until midnight (Australian Eastern Standard Time) on October 28th so this will give you all plenty of time to visit everyone’s blogs and create a layout for the sketch challenge.

As we mentioned, there are lots of great birthday presents up for grabs along our hop today.  Some of our designers will be offering a RAK of their own and of course there is the chance to become our Guest Designer for November....but what's a celebration without that very special gift.

  12. Wow what a fun layout! Love that you used multiple pics and the fun involved in each picture is a delight to see. Love all the layering and addition of embelliments. The bubble gum machine is so clever and love that button. Thanks for sharing this cheerful layout with us. I am sure your girls will love this one. Great take on the sketch. The one think on my wish list right now would be more Ranger Distress inks and the new stains. I love using them in my scrapbooking, but having some new Minds Eye paper would be a plus too. Difficult to decide. Lol. Thanks for asking.

  46. this LO was supercute! especially the gum ball machine. Love all the detail and diff. texture. I would have to say on my wish list is more basic grey and my minds eye paper...can never have too much of that stuff! second would be more tim holtz distress inks by ranger...they last so long and can be used on anything!!! the new seasonal 3 pack they just released is super juicy! thanks for the inspo...great blog.

  61. I just love your layout! My son turns 5 in March and he gets to chew bubble gum then! So we are havin a "bubble gum" theme birthday party! I will be "lifting" this page from you to do that's for sure! On my wish list is that my local scrapbooking store "Scrapaganza" WAS NOT closing at the end of November. It breaks my heart. They were "THE" scrapbooking store in our area.

Now i just have to get my nieces (my scrapbooking muses) some gumballs and take pictures! hehe Now to answer your question... i have so many things on my gift wish list, people would think i'm the most materialistic girl out there! hahaha But it's all scrapbooking stuff and #1 right now are Tim Holtz' Distress Stains. I want ALL colors available :)
